The Groucho Club

The Groucho Club is one of the most significant clubs in London city. The club was formed in 1985 and is said to have been established by a group of publishers to create the ideal Gentlemen’s meet & relax venue. Located in the bohemian centre of Soho, the club doors are opened to members from the arts, publishing, film, music and advertising industry. The club boasts two bars, two restaurants, private event rooms, twenty bedrooms and a welcoming outdoor space.  The Groucho Club is the benchmark for a new generation of members clubs both opening in the area and internationally.

 

The Ivy

The Ivy Soho is a brassiere located on Broadwick Street at the centre of Soho’s liveliest areas. This elegant hot spot is decorated with many artworks that have been inspired by Soho’s music scene and iconic resident William Blake. Visitors are welcomed by a luxurious bar, private dining room and its iconic Parisian styled terrace. The Ivy’s notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools. The brassiere offers a 7 day service of its ‘modern British’ menu and musical entertainment provided by selected DJ’s from 7 pm until close, during brunch times as well as on the weekends.

 

Soho House

Soho House is a reputable private members house; the mid-Georgian townhouse was built in 1732 and still resides on Soho’s popular Dean Street. Having previously housed many prominent figures including the seventh Earl of Abercorn, who was a fellow of the Royal Society and author of a work on magnetism.  The naval-themed murals in the main entrance and staircase reflect the heritage and culture behind the historical venue.  With the inclusion of its traditionally welcoming courtyard, Soho house also provides one of the few outdoor dining spaces available in Soho.

 

Sounds of the Universe

SOTU includes a plethora of sounds and styles of music to suit any individual taste or need.  Genres include old school Hip-hop, Jazz and Soul from Brazil to Africa. You can also find a unique selection of books from a variety world-wide.  A selected range of Studio 1 t-shirts and hoodies are also available.

House of Minalima

Minalima is a true destination point and celebration for Harry Potter fans and design enthusiasts, who can indulge in display of graphic art focused on this epic store and of course the Fantastic Beasts. Scattered across four floors, House of Minalima host its very own gallery space displaying fifteen years of creative and collaborative graphic design. The award winning studio is both a shop and a gallery space with a unique spectacle of visual surprises along the way.

All works exhibited in the gallery spaces are for sale and can be purchased along with a range of posters, stationery, home-ware and books.

 

Algerian Coffee Stores

Since the doors first opened in 1887 coffee and tea have dominated the shops atmosphere.  Today, 128 years later,  the Algerian Coffee Store has  evolved into one of the world’s best known and leading suppliers of coffee and tea. The cinema venue offers a bar which is a popular spot amongst the public, the highly energised venue that caters for many. In 1998 the cinema had been divided into a three screen complex and renamed to Curzon Soho, since then it has proven to become hugely successful and has been voted London’s number One cinema by the Time Out readers.
